Curriculum vitae
Kathrin Wankelmuth graduated in 2008 from Fontys Hogescholen v.d. Kunsten/Dansacademie Tilburg(NL). During her studies she has been member of x.ida, postgraduate dancecompany in Linz(A) under the artistic leadership of Esther Linley. There she was working with contemporary choreographers as Chris Haring, Georg Blaschke, Jianan Qiu, Stephanie Cumming. Kathrin performed in their pieces e.g. during 'Österreich tanzt!', the 'Burgenländische Tanztage' and the 'SCHÄXPIR'-Festival.
After her graduation she gained first working experience as freelance dancer and co-choreographer with 1n0out(A), to realize the piece 'CPU-Der Prezess', which has won the MediaArtPrice of Salzburg in 2007. Another project in Austria has been 'sweet hearts' with Liz King/D.ID in Burgenland(A).
Since December 2008 Kathrin Wankelmuth lives in Germany again. In 2009 she was performing and choreographing for the production 'Das Lied von der Erde' ('The Song of the Earth' by G. Mahler, in a version of the Neruda-Quartet). Since 2009 she is member of dancecompany 'novaTanz' in Köln. Kathrin was part of the production 'night prayers' and danced again, during the Choreographic Competition in Łódź(PL), in 'night prayers-one square final'.
